เป็นประจำทุกปีกับการจัดอันดับต่างๆ ของแต่ละบริษัท โดยปีนี้ Google ปล่อยมาเป็นคนแรกด้วย Google Play Best of 2018 ทั้งในหมวดแอป, เกม, ภาพยนตร์, หนังสือ Google Play ไปจนถึงเปิดให้แฟนๆ โหวต Fan Favorites of 2018 ด้วยดังนี้
- Best App of 2018 ได้แก่ Drops: Learn 31 new languages แอปสอนภาษาโดยสามารถเลือกเรียนหัวข้อที่สนใจได้มากมาย ตั้งแต่ธุรกิจ ธรรมชาติ งานอดิเรก
- Best Game of 2018 ได้แก่ Garena RoV (ของอเมริกาคือ PUBG Mobile)
- User's Choice App of 2018 ได้แก่ JOOX Music (ของอเมริกามีให้เลือกทั้งแอป, เกมและหนัง โดยที่ได้รับเลือกได้แก่ PUBG Mobile, YouTube TV และ Avengers: Infinity War ตามลำดับ)
- Most Entertaining App ได้แก่ TikTok, Joylada, No.Draw - Colors by Number, Easy real Drums, และ LightX Photo Editor
- Best Hidden Gems ได้แก่ Canva: Graphic Design, Air Quality | AirVisual, SistaCafe, TroveSkin และ Klook: Travel Activies, Day Drips & Guided Tours
- Best Self Improvement ได้แก่ Home Workout, Drops, Questions Diary: One self-reflection question, Quit Tracker: Stop Smoking และ Forest: Stay focused
- App Daily Helper ได้แก่ Daylio - Diary, Journal, Mood Tracker, Fortune City - A Finance App, Waze, Pedometer - Step Counter และ Drink Water Aquarium - Water Tracker
ทั้งนี้ในประเทศไทยมีการจัดอันดับแค่แอปเท่านั้น ส่วนหมวดภาพยนตร์, ซีรีส์, หนังสือและออดิโอบุ๊คจะเป็นเฉพาะของ Google Play อเมริกาดังนี้
- Top five movies of 2018 ได้แก่ Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Thor: Ragnarok, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle และ Deadpool 2
- Top five TV shows of 2018 ได้แก่ The Walking Dead, Riverdale, The Big Bang Theory, The Flash
