จากข่าวก่อนหน้านี้ กูเกิลเปิดตัว Google Play กูเกิลก็ได้ลดราคาแอพใน Play Store กว่า 25 ตัว เหลือเพียง $0.49 (คิดเป็นเงินไทยขณะที่เขียนข่าวคือ 15.02 บาท) ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่จะเป็นเกม โดยแอพบางตัวก็เคยถูกจัดโปรโมชันลดราคามาแล้ว
