กูเกิลเปิดเว็บไซต์ [More than a Map](http://www.morethanamap.com/) เพื่อโชว์ศักยภาพการนำ Google Maps ไปใช้งานต่อผ่าน API ว่าสามารถต่อยอดได้อย่างไร
เนื้อหาหลักๆ ในเว็บคือเดโมการใช้ฟีเจอร์ต่างๆ ของ Google Maps ไม่ว่าจะเป็นภาพถ่ายดาวเทียม เส้นทางการเดินทาง ข้อมูลสถานที่ Street View และการนำไปทำ visualization
การเปิดเว็บไซต์ครั้งนี้ถือเป็นการฉลองที่ Google Maps มีเว็บไซต์และแอพนำไปใช้ครบ 800,000 รายครับ
