วันนี้ตามเวลาประเทศไทยเป็นการเลือกตั้งประธานาธิบดีสหรัฐ (ตอนที่เขียนข่าวนี้กำลังเริ่มนับคะแนน) และประธานาธิบดีบารัค โอบามา ก็ทำเซอร์ไพร์สเล็กๆ โดยเข้าไปโพสต์บนเว็บชุมชนออนไลน์ Reddit เตือนให้คนออกไปเลือกตั้งด้วย
Reddit มีเนื้อหาหมวด Ask Me Anything (AMA) ที่เชิญคนดังมาตอบคำถามจากผู้อ่าน และประธานาธิบดีโอบามาก็เคยมาโพสต์ตอบคำถามเมื่อเดือนสิงหาคม ซึ่งได้รับความสนใจอย่างล้นหลาม (Reddit ต้องใช้เซิร์ฟเวอร์ 60 ตัวรับโหลดเฉพาะกระทู้นี้)
รอบนี้โอบามากลับมาโพสต์ในกระทู้เดิม โดยขอบคุณชุมชน Reddit ที่ตอบรับเขาในกระทู้ AMA เป็นอย่างดี เขาบอกว่ากำลังติดตามผลการเลือกตั้งที่กำลังจะปิดหีบในไม่ช้า (นับตามเวลาที่โพสต์) และขอให้คนที่ยังไม่ได้ไปลงคะแนนเสียงให้ออกไปลงคะแนนให้เขาด้วย
